After taking the 12 day basic floral design class I am happy to continue to invest in myself and take her 5 day advanced class also. Learning from Christina has been so helpful in so many ways.Thank you for sharing your gifts with others! Sincerely, Errica Parsons You have given me a great deal of insight into the floral industry, and opened my eyes to endless possibilities for myself. I could not have imagined a class such as yours! It is for those who want to become a professional florist to for those who just want to improve their designs for personal use. The flower classroom is a place to study serious floral design in a fun relaxed atmosphere.Receiving my completion certificate at the end was very rewarding for me! The class was worth my time, effort and money. I would love to go back someday and take some of the specialized design classes she offers. I have benefited greatly from the resources Christina shared with us in the form of websites, email lists, floral design books and connections with wholesale houses. I have gained a connection with a world-known floral artist who is willing to offer ideas and advice in the future.

I believe with hard work and ongoing practice this class could prepare a student like me to work in the floral industry. I also learned a great deal about the marketing and business side of the profession. She won’t let you off easy, and even asked a classmate to throw her design in the trash and start over(!) but I liked that, because I was there to learn and learn I did! She sometimes questioned my choices and placements when I was headed the wrong directions with a design but she didn’t give up on me or my designs. I was challenged and at times discouraged, but I learned so much and was delighted with many of the designs I was able to make with Christina’s instruction and guidance. The 12 day class I took is not an easy workshop style course. I was pleased with the abundance and variety of flowers we were given to work with, the tools we were given and the pleasantness of the classroom. Christina is a talented and knowledgeable floral artist and instructor who presents a well prepared curriculum.

Celebrate: Don’t forget to set aside time to appreciate everyone’s good work – it can be as simple as a hot chocolate break or a special potluck lunch.Team up: For major decorating jobs, mass centerpiece orders and other big jobs, team up employees and allow them to work out their own production methods to meet deadlines.Communicate and delegate: Share your daily priorities with staff members so that everyone can work together to achieve the same objectives.A list can help you keep on track and feel accomplished. Prioritize: Organize your tasks for each day into three categories - “must do,” “should do” and “like to do.” Save the “like to do” tasks until everything else is complete - or even until after the holidays.Lanker, of The Ohio State University, shares several strategies:
